Audeince research
When the film was uploaded onto our blogs we asks many different people and the our target audience group that we got feedback from gave us the following comments on our film opening-
“The opening was very tense, making it very clear it was a crime film. However, more shots could’ve been used, and then it could have been quicker cuts”
“The voice over at the start set a clear atmosphere that was maintained throughout the opening. This was done with the background noises, as well as the overall colour of the scene.”
“The opening built up tension very well, giving away enough to engage the audience, without divulging the story”
The reaction we got from groups was overall great must of them said if they would watch the whole film if it was a full movie. But we can safely say the we attracted our target audience that we choice at the start of the planning.
The feedback we reseed told us that when the audience was watching the opening of the film they started to fell uneasy and tease as they couldn't distinguish the difference between the antagonists and protagonist.
Question 4&5
In my planning task 11, I stated I would have 18-25-year-old males as my target audience. The reason i have picked this spastic gender is that they are more willing to go to the cinema and watch a crime/gangster genre and will enjoy more than females. Also they are perfect for our film as we have all the conventions that will give them that thrill. Also I have a age range between 18-25-year-old this is primary down to those ages being in the part of the populations that have disposal incomes. Furthermore our film opening met all the criters that were set for my target audience, the BBFC guidelines were met as the ctifacut i got was a 15 and this sltly altered our target audience age range lowering ot to 15
